While studying abroad in the village of Lacoste, France, I designed The Decisive Moment, a typographic book and three bookmarks inspired by the life and legacy of iconic French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. Created while traveling throughout Europe and actively photographing my surroundings, the project was deeply influenced by the world around me and the spontaneity of everyday moments. Designed entirely in Adobe InDesign, the book uses typography as image, allowing type itself to carry the visual narrative and tell the story of Cartier-Bresson’s philosophy and impact on photography.
